Non-Toxic Holiday Gift Guide 2021
I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact that it’s time for Christmas shopping and that 2022 is right around the corner! It’s been a busy year between officially launching Wild + Well, keeping up with our little one (who loves to be on the move) and enjoying all of the things that life brings our way. I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for us!
Prior to graduating with my Masters degree in Nutrition, I worked in the natural foods industry as a sales representative. For years, I have loved researching and educating myself on the best natural foods, gear, cookware, etc. on the market! And now after launching Wild + Well, I have taken that passion a step further and continue to research and source goods that I can review and share with clients. And now share with you all for a Holiday Gift Guide Round-up! These are some of my absolute favorite things and I hope you enjoy sourcing some of these items for friends and family this holiday season.
Wild + Well Holiday Gift guide round-up
For the foodlover/cook
InstantPot: For those of you that have followed me for quite some time know that I love my InstantPot. I use it several times a week for everything from short ribs to bone broth. Did you know it can cake a whole chicken in 10 minutes?
Vitamix Blender: I’ve had our Vitamix for over 12 years and it still works like a charm. This is my go-to blender for smoothies, soups, baking, etc. We use it daily!
Cookbooks: I have been loving Cassy Joy Garcia’s book “Cook Once Quick Fix” and can’t wait to pre-order Caroline Fausel’s new book “Prep, Cook, Freeze” (available 12/21).
Thrive Market Membership: I love buying all of my favorite things from Thrive Market to save and have a one stop shop for all of things on my shopping list. This would make a great gift!
Meat and Wild Seafood Subscriptions / Gift Cards: Pasture-raised, grass fed meats and wild seafood can be tough to find and source. Subscription services and gift cards can be a great option at the holidays. Some of my favorites include: Vital Choice for seafood and US Wellness and Pasture Bird for meats.
Non-Toxic Pots and Pans: It’s tough to find the perfect non-toxic cookware option but I love Le Creuset, Lodge Cast Iron and The Always Pan.
Stasher Bags and Beeswax Wrap: Some of my favorite things to use for meal prep / storage. Would make great stocking stuffers!
Berkey Water Filters: If you’re not in a place to invest in a whole house filter, this is the water filter for you! We love our Berkey. We actually have a small one in our camper and a larger one in our home.
Mountain Rose Herbs: I love this company - I stock up on herbs for the kitchen regularly and do love their essential oils too!
Hamama Microgreen Kits: I LOVE THESE! I gifted them to quite a few family members last year. They sell kits to grow various kinds of organic micro greens. We have one of these on our counter right now!
For the non-toxic hoMe
Crystal Quest Bath & Shower Filters: This is my go-to recommendation for bath and shower filters. They filter out harmful contaminants to ensure the water we’re bathing in is fully clear of toxins.
Simply Organic Bamboo Sheets: Organic sheets are a must when looking to minimize toxin exposure in your home. Since we sleep on our sheets each night, it’s important to ensure that they’re organic. Use code LIVEWILD to save 25% off.
Air Doctor Air Purifiers: My go-to recommendation for air filtration in your home!
Organic Down Pillows: The same is true for our pillows, as our sheets. These are a great option if you’re looking for organic pillows!
Non-Toxic Cleaners: Branch Basics and YoungLiving are my favorite recommendations. Non-toxic, clean and both come with subscription services, making it the perfect gift option!
DefenderShield: It’s important to work to protect ourselves from EMF’s (electromagnetic frequencies, ie: WiFi) as much as possible. I love DefenderShield because they make products that are simple, yet effective. I love their phone cases, EMF blocking blankets and belly bands for pregnancy!
Canopy Humidifier: These humidifiers are 100% mold-free and great to keep in your bedroom or in the nursery for your little one!
For Self-Care
Ancient Minerals Magnesium Products: I love their bath salts and magnesium body lotions. A great gift for those looking for upping their magnesium levels and focusing on self-care.
Blue Light Blockers: Blue light blocking glasses are helpful for improving sleep hygiene, relieving disruption on our endocrine system and allowing our eyes and brain to read with ease.
Pique Tea: I debated if this should be listed under food or self care. For me, a good cup of tea is part of my self-care routine. Pique is the BEST! It’s triple tested for heavy metals and the purest tea we can drink. This would make a great stocking stuffer. Use code LIVEWILD to save 10%.
BeautyCounter: One of my go-to brands for skincare, body care and makeup. They have several holiday kits that would make great gifts!
Massage Gift Certificates: What says self care more than a massage? This is one of my favorite things to gift to friends and family. The team at Mountain Mama Massage are my favorite local (to Boulder) massage therapists.
For non-toxic goods for our little ones
PlayWilder: Completely non-toxic play gyms and Pikler Triangles for our little ones. We just got ours and Colter loves it! We just ordered C the learning tower for Christmas.
Lovevery Play Kits: We love these Montessori style play kits for Colter. All non-toxic and natural materials.
Elk and Friends: This line of glass cups, silicone plates and utensils are our go-to.
Essential Play Kitchen: This is a fun way for your little one to mimic the things you do in the kitchen!
CO Baby Carrier: Completely non-toxic baby carrier designed to work perfectly for newborns up to 35 lbs.
Little Herbal: My favorite line of all non-toxic and organic baby ointments, shampoos, etc.
Austin Baby Co: Some of my favorite on-the-go containers for our little ones!
for the adventuring family
Non-Toxic First Aid Kit: I have shared a lot this year on how to build and source the best for a complete non-toxic first aid kit for your family. I have received a lot of questions on what brands to source to turn this into a fun gift! You can use a fun bag like this to make the kit or recycle one of your favorite small bags. These are the essentials that are great to include:
Green Goo: Alternative to Neosporin
Activated Charcoal (code MARYRUTH saves you 20%)
Probiotics (I especially love Mary Ruth’s Probiotic Spray to have in our first aid kit!)
Latex-Free Band-Aids - Welly is my favorite!
Other essentials include: organic gauze, scissors, tweezers, tourniquet, Moleskin, instant cold pack, quick clot, etc.
